When did you attend York College and what was your major?

I attended York College from 2010–2014 and majored in fine art.

When were you published in The York Review?

I don’t remember when exactly I was in The York Review, 2013 and 2014 maybe? I submitted because it seemed like a fun opportunity to have my work published somewhere and gain some exposure.

What did you think you would be doing at this time when you were still in college?

I didn’t have a specific idea of where I’d be at this time. There is not a direct career path for fine art, so working a non-creative job for income while making art on the side, which is what I do now, is about what I expected. I did not expect to still be living in York.

What have you been doing since you graduated?

Immediately after graduation I won the Appell Arts Fellowship through the college, which is a one year residency at Marketview Arts in downtown York. After that ended I got a job at York Wallcoverings in one of their manufacturing departments. I mostly work in 2D mediums: painting and drawing. I’ve shown regionally in York, Lancaster, Harrisburg, Williamsport, and Wilmington, DE. I’ve also illustrated books and other projects for authors such as Ted Kelsey and Erik Arneson
