About Submissions

The Website- SUBMISSIONS CLOSED

The York Review allows students the opportunity to submit creative work year-round for publishing. We accept everything creative, including (but not limited to): short stories, nonfiction writing, poems, opinion pieces, articles, creative videos, fine art, digital art and photography. Submissions to our website will be published sooner rather than later and will be accessible online.

Our guidelines for website submissions:

  • Professionally written work with proper grammar and spelling

  • Word count should not exceed 1,000 words (unless it is a short story)

  • Racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, hateful content will not be tolerated or published

  • Is relevant to literature, art, culture, or our community

Submissions are published shortly after review and approval.

The York Review’s annual issue publishes pieces written by York College of Pennsylvania’s students. We accept a wide range of creative works every year and encourages any YCP student to submit. You can submit using the button shown above. Look for the print issue in April!
